
The 20 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League clubs underwent a one-day training workshop on the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols.
The workshop held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, addressed issues related to implementing Matchday Safety and Security Protocols. The training focused on effectively implementing the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols, outlining the responsibilities of clubs, their management, and Safety and Security Officers.
A session was held for facilitators and participants to analyze scenarios and discuss implementing approved protocols. Additionally, the workshop provided guidance on educating fans, coaches, players, and staff about the Code of Conduct for supporters and best practices before, during, and after matches.
The session covered compliance regimes, enforcement processes, and working relationships between clubs, match officials, and security personnel to enhance safety and security at matches.
The Malta Guinness Women's Premier League consists of 20 clubs divided into two zones: Northern and Southern. The winners of each zone compete in a playoff to determine the league champion.
As of the current standings, defending champions Hasaacas Ladies lead the Southern Zone with 25 points, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies top the Northern Zone with 34 points after 12 Matchdays.
