FIFA Club Professionalisation and Management Programme: GPL clubs to be hosted in Accra

The Ghana Football Association is pleased to announce that Ghana Premier League clubs will benefit from the FIFA Club Professionalisation and Management Programme to be held on March 4 and 5, 2025 in Accra.

The Programme, aimed at enhancing club football management, has established itself as a prestigious knowledge-sharing and networking platform for senior club executives in professional football.

The programme covers every area of club management that senior executives need to master in order to succeed in the modern game. FIFA’s delegation will be headed by Solomon Mudege, the Head of FIFA Development Programmes- Africa, Marcos Picallo Aguilar- FIFA Senior Professional Football Manager and Development, Silmara Sousa- MA Regional Coordinator, FIFA Development Programmes.

FIFA experienced Instructor and Consultant, Pedro Manuel Correia Miranda will be lead Instructor for the programme.

President, Kurt Edwin Simoen-Okraku has called upon Premier League Clubs to ensure that their administrators fully embrace the programme because the knowledge to be gained will help in further transforming their clubs and the league in areas such as governance, marketing, business and sporting.

“We are extremely happy that FIFA’s support is being extended to our clubs in the need areas of governance, marketing, finance and communications. We send our thanks to FIFA for accepting our request to embark on this transformative programme . I now expect our club administrators to partake fully and use the knowledge shared to further build their clubs and add to their brand equity” President Simeon-Okraku added.

Day One of the workshop will dwell on two topics namely Strategic Planning and Governance. Participants will be taken through various modules how they can formulate strategic plans, club organisational structures and separation of powers in their clubs for effective leadership among others.

Day Two which is the final day of the workshop will put emphasis on financial, brand and marketing, and communications strategies.
