The 2026 Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship continued with another exciting round of matches on Saturday at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, with teams producing impressive performances and plenty of goals across both pitches.

On Pitch 1, the Greater Accra Region secured a commanding 3-0 victory over the Upper East Region. George Kofi Dadzie was the standout performer, scoring twice and providing an assist for the third goal to earn the Player of the Match award.

The second game on the pitch produced one of the most entertaining contests of the day as the Brong Ahafo Region edged the Upper West Region 3-2. Agyemang Kingsford stole the headlines with a superb hat-trick for Brong Ahafo, while Vitus Bayuo and Enoch Zaato found the net for Upper West Region.

On Pitch 2, the Northern Region continued their impressive run with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Elite Academy – Achimota SHS. Seidu Jamaldeen scored the decisive goal and was deservedly named Player of the Match.

The second morning fixture saw the Volta Region and the Western Region share the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Western Region, however, prevailed 5-3 in the penalty shootout, with Dennis Atta Appiah earning the Player of the Match accolade.

The afternoon session delivered more drama. On Pitch 1, the Central Region and Elite Academy – Prempeh College played out a thrilling goalless draw in what many observers considered the match of the day. Central Region held their nerve to win 8-7 on penalties, with Elijah Adjei named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

Northern Region maintained their unbeaten start with another 1-0 victory, this time over the Ashanti Region. Elom Adam scored the winning goal, while Abdallah Jaafar's influential display earned him the Player of the Match award.

On Pitch 2, the Eastern Region defeated Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS 2-1, with Numo Owen producing a match-winning performance to claim the Player of the Match honour.

The final game of the day ended in a goalless draw between the Western Region and Elite Academy – Achimota SHS. Achimota SHS emerged victorious in the ensuing penalty shootout, winning 5-4 to secure the bonus point.

With several players continuing to impress scouts and technical observers, the championship remains firmly focused on talent identification and development. The competition will continue on Sunday with Matchday Three fixtures as teams intensify their quest for success in the prestigious youth tournament.
