GA RFA Women’s Division One FA Cup Kicks Off on Saturday, March 8

The highly anticipated Women’s Division One FA Cup is set to commence on Saturday in Greater Accra, March 8, marking the first-ever edition of the competition organised by the Greater Accra Regional Football Association.

The tournament will provide a platform for women’s football teams to compete for glory, with matches scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday between 8am and 2pm at the Abofu Astroturf.

The opening day promises exciting fixtures, with Oak Ladies FC, the female side of Accra Hearts of Oak, set to face G.R.A Ladies in the headline clash on Saturday.

Other Saturday fixtures include African Golden Eagles taking on Epiphany Next Generation, Starlets Ladies FC facing Rock Ladies, and Ideal Ladies battling Teshie Constant Ladies.

Sunday’s matches will see another blockbuster fixture as Sissamba Ladies go head-to-head with Christ Angels. Accra Ladyz will lock horns with Immigration Ladies, while Basiktas Ladies take on Cabfix Ladies. The final match of the weekend will feature Blessed Ladies against La Ladies.

This historic competition is expected to be a major boost for women’s football development in the region, giving young and talented players an opportunity to showcase their skills on a competitive stage.
