Coach Herbert Addo hopes his local Black Stars can match their potential and beat Zimbabwe today in a must-win clash in the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Ghana's squad at the competition is a collection of the best local performs on the domestic scene but got off their group B campaign to a disappointing 2-1 loss to South Africa.
With group winners and runners-up qualifying for the quarter-finals in the 16-nation competition designed by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) for Africa-based players, Ghana's coach is determined to bag three points when they play Zimbabwe.
"We have seen Zimbabwe play and we worked on our lapses. We will work out a strategy to handle them on Wednesday,” the Ghana coach said ahead of the clash.
A difficult game is expected with both sides seeking to make amends after losing their opening group matches.
South Africa play Niger in the other group fixture.
