Third-placed Heart of Lions travel to the Dun’s Park to battle second-placed Gold Stars FC in an outstanding matchday 21 Premier League fixture on Tuesday April 1, 2025.

The Miners played out an uneventful 1-1 draw with giants Hearts of Oak in their last league match (W2, D2, L1), having scored 22 and conceded the second joint least goals (13).

They have amassed 41 points from 23 league matches this season and are currently second in the table one point behind leaders Asante Kotoko. Frimpong Manso’s men are unbeaten in all their eleven home league matches this season prior to this fixture and are the third best home performers in the league. They will be keen to continue their remarkable home form on Tuesday.

Heart of Lions have won two, drawn one and suffered two defeats in their last five league matches ahead of the clash, having scored the second joint most goals (24) and conceded the second joint least goals in the league (14) after 23 rounds of matches this season.

The Kpando lads currently sit third place in the league table with 40 points. Bashir K. Hayford’s men are the fourth best away performers in the league this season ahead of this fixture (W2, D1, L2).

Gold Stars FC have played Hearts of Lions once at home in the league since the Kpando lads gained promotion back into the Premier League last season with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.

In Tuesday's other game,  Medeama SC entertain new entrants Basake Holy Stars at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Tuesday in the Premier League.

Medeama inflicted Aduana FC’s seventh defeat in the league this season by beating them 2-0 at home soil last time out (W3, D2). They’ve amassed 35 points from 23 league matches and are currently sitting 7th position in the table, having scored the joint most goals (25) and conceded 21.

The Mauve and Yellow come into this round of fixtures as the sixth best home performers in the league after winning seven, drawing three and suffered just a single defeat in their eleven home matches played in the league so far. The 2022/23 League winners will be desperate to record their eighth home victory on Tuesday.

Basake Holy Stars have slipped to the 13th position in the league table following back-to-back defeats against Gold Stars FC and Giants Asante Kotoko in their last five outings (W1, D1, L1).

The Aiyinase lads have scored the second joint most goals (24) and conceded 24. They are the fourth weakest away side in the league after eleven matches played away from home (W1, D2, L8).

Medeama SC are playing Basake Holy Stars at home in the league for the first time since the Aiyinase lads gained promotion into the top-flight this season.
