The Premier League match day 24 continues across the country with giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak headlining three exciting matches on Saturday March 15, 2025.

Here is a preview of Saturday's matches in the Ghanaian top-flight.

FC Samartex 1996 vs Asante Kotoko

Defending Champions FC Samartex 1996 will aim to continue their impressive form when they entertain Asante Kotoko at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Saturday March 15, 2025.

Christopher Ennin’s men registered their sixth victory this season by defeating Nsoatreman FC 1-0 away from home in a very absorbing fixture last time out. They are unbeaten in their last five successive league matches (W2, D3), having scored 13 and conceded the second least goals in the league so far (11).

The Timber Giants head into this game as the seventh weakest home performers despite their remarkable performance in recent games. They are winless in their last five home fixtures and will be desperate to grab all the spoils on Saturday.

Asante Kotoko travel down to Aboi full of confidence after a 2-0 home win against struggling Legon Cities over the weekend to reclaim top spot. They’ve amassed 37 points, having scored the most goals (23) and conceded 13. DR. Prosper N. Ogum’s men are the third best away performers and will be keen to record their fourth victory away from home on Sunday.

FC Samartex 1996 have played Asante Kotoko twice at home in the league since the Timber Giants gained promotion to the Premier League in the 2022/23 season with Samartex winning one and losing one.

In the 2022/23 season, FC Samartex lost 1-2 to Asante Kotoko and won 1-0 in the 2023/24 season.

Young Apostles vs Accra Lions

Young Apostles will hope to return to winning ways when they welcome bottom-of-the-table, Accra Lions to the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on Saturday March 15, 2025.

The Premier League new boys come into this round of matches on the back of a 2-0 defeat at Hearts of Oak last weekend which have seen the Wenchi lads slipped in the league table. They will seek to take a significant step towards this encounter to regain their confidence back in the League.

They’ve amassed 24 points and are currently occupying the 11th position in the table. They’ve won 3, drawn 1 and suffered just a single defeat in the last five league matches, having scored 13 and conceded 20. They are the sixth weakest home performers in the league despite winning two and drawing two in their last five home fixtures.

It’s been a season of disappointments for Accra Lions so far after 20 round of matches in the league.  They are stuck at the bottom of the table on a lowly points tally with just 16, five points adrift of safety. They’ve won just a single game in the last five league matches (L4), having scored 13 and conceded the second most goals (23).

Lions are the third weakest away side in the table and are yet to record their first win away from home in the league this season.

Young Apostles are playing Accra Lions at home in the league for the first time since the Wenchi lads gained promotion into the Premier League this season.

Hearts of Oak vs Dreams FC

Hearts of Oak will seek for a third successive win when they welcome Dreams FC to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday March 15, 2025. Kick off 6pm local time (18:00 GMT).

After returning to winning ways against Berekum Chelsea (3-1) in match day 14, Hearts of Oak have gone seven successive league matches unbeaten, the best in the league currently. The Phobians are 3rd in the league table with 36 points, having scored 19 and conceded the joint least goals (10).

Abubakar Ouattara’s men are the seventh best home side in the league this season and have won their last four consecutive home matches. The Phobians will hope to stretch their remarkable unbeaten record to eight successive matches on Saturday.

Dreams FC were held to a goalless draw by Aduana FC at home in their previous league match. They’ve won 2, drawn 2 and suffered just a single defeat in the last five outings, having scored the least goals (10) and conceded 16.

The Believers are currently occupying the 15th position in the league table with 21 points, 3 points away from the drop zone.  Abdul Karim Zito’s men are winless in their last four consecutive away fixtures ahead of the clash.

Hearts of Oak have played Dreams FC four times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with the Phobians winning two and drawing two.

In the 2020/21 season, Hearts of Oak beat Dreams FC 3-0, won 3-1 in the 2021/22 season, drawn 2-2 in the 2022/23 season and recorded a goalless draw in the 2023/24 season.
