FC Epiphany Warriors hold a firm grip at the top of the table after thumping Luta Thunder Ladies while Somanya -based Rootz Sistaz recorded their first win in the Regional Women's Championship.

Rootz Sistaz recorded a 3-2 win over Mfantseman Royals in a five-goal thriller at the WAFA Park in Sogakope on Monday June 17, 2024.
Rootz went 2-0 up courtesy Matilda Kwao (16th minute) and Idrrisu Nuratu (22nd minute) before captain Beline Nyarko pulled a goal back for Mfansteman Royals in the 44th minute.
However, Ashiaku Christiana restored their two-goal lead just after the break (46 minutes) before Belina Nyarko grabbed her brace with the consolation goal in the 63rd minute.
In the other match, Halifax Queens thumped Samartex Ladies 4-1 to cap an incredible day in Sogakope.
Janet Kwao opened the scoring as early as the 6th minute before Rita Doku added the second 22 minutes later.
Samartex Ladies pulled a goal back through Patricia Nyanful but two further goals from Konadu Zipporah (70th minute) and Seidatu Wahab (71st minute) sealed the heavy win for Halifax Queens.
FC Epiphany Warriors produced an incredible performance to brush aside Luta Thunder 6-0 to extend their lad at the top of the table.
Deborah Nyarko set the team on the demolition course with the opening goal in the 14th minute before Diana Abu completed a remarkable hat-trick, scoring in the 24th, 51st and 58th minute.
Patience Peprah Nyarko completed the rout at the WAFA Park.
Unbeaten FC Epiphany Warriors remain top of the table with 9 points, three more than closest challenger Halifx Ladies on 6 points.
