A safeguarding training session was recently held for participants of the free License D coaching course in the Central Region. This training, designed to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in football, was integrated into the broader curriculum of the coaching course.

The session focused on essential topics such as child protection, ethical coaching practices, and the role of coaches in creating a safe environment for all players, especially minors.

Emphasizing the importance of upholding high standards of conduct and integrity, the training aimed to prepare coaches to handle their responsibilities with care and professionalism.

The License D coaching course, part of the Football Association's initiative to nurture grassroots coaching talent, is being provided at no cost to participants in the Central Region.

By including safeguarding training, the FA highlights its commitment to the comprehensive development of coaches, ensuring they are equipped not only with technical skills but also with the ethical and moral principles needed to guide young athletes.

The course is set to conclude with a final assessment, after which participants who meet the requirements will receive their License D coaching certification.
