Sulley Muntari gives Ghana's preparations for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo a major boost as he is expected in camp on Wednesday.

Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic named Muntari in his 24-man squad for the game in Congo and the friendly with England, two days later in Wembley.

The midfielder's participation in the game in Brazzaville was in doubt after he limped off with a calf injury after just 19 minutes for Sunderland in Sunday's 2-0 home defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League.

But Fred Pappoe, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association today confirmed that the Sunderland player would turn up in the national camp in Nairobi.

"He (Sulley Muntari) is reporting to camp tomorrow (Wednesday) morning," Pappoe, who also chairs the senior team's management board told www.ghanafa.org.
