The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will provide additional footballs for all regional women’s Division One League and Two clubs League to aid their training and development.

Under the Women’s Football Strategy, the Association aims at supporting all women’s league clubs in the country to produce more talents while also encouraging girls’ participation in football.

There are over 130 regional Women’s Division One and Two League clubs across the ten (10) Regional Football Associations.

It will be recalled that the 20 clubs in the Malta Guiness Women’s Premier League are supported with footballs through sponsorship from Decathlon Ghana Limited.

During the 2022/2023 season, the GFA also supported the regional Women’s League clubs with footballs.

The footballs will be given to the Regional Football Associations for collection by the women clubs at the RFAs.

“The Football Association will continue to provide the needed support to advance the growth of women’s football in line with the GFA’s Women’s Football Strategic pillars,” General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo said.

The Women’s Division One Leagues are currently ongoing in the ten (10) Regional Football Associations (RFAs), with clubs aiming to gain promotion to the Malta Guiness Women’s Premier League next season.
