Workshop for Club Safety and Security Officers Set to Begin on March 7, 2025

A crucial workshop for Safety and Security Officers from the Premier League, Women’s Premier League, and Division One League clubs is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 7, 2025. The workshop, which will also include Regional Sports Security Officers (RSSOs), aims to enhance safety and security measures across Ghanaian football.

The training will be organised into three zones to accommodate participants from various regions:

  • Zone One: Clubs from the Savanna, North East, Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions will attend their session at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 9 AM.
  • Zone Two: Clubs from the Western, Western North, Central, and Ashanti regions will gather at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 9 AM.
  • Zone Three: Clubs from the Eastern, Greater Accra, and Volta regions will hold their workshop on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 9 AM.

The workshop will cover key topics, including:

  1. Challenges of Safety and Security in Ghana
  2. Roles of the Club Safety and Security Officer (CSSO) and collaboration with the RSSO
  3. CSSO Checklist
  4. Introduction to the Enhanced Safety and Security Protocols 2025
  5. Practicum and Scenario Session

This initiative is expected to strengthen safety protocols and improve the overall security framework at football venues nationwide.

Participants will engage in practical sessions designed to enhance their preparedness in handling match-day security challenges effectively.

The workshop demonstrates the Association’s commitment to ensuring safer football environments for players, officials, and fans alike.
